I was reading about it in the newspaper today and it’s really scary. I wanted to go on a cruise for my anniversary but now I’m not so sure. How come the French Navy isn’t doing much to help?

the french navy are scared of the pirates.
I was just discussing this and was shocked as well to hear that there are really pirates still in existence. I am sure they are the least of all the navy’s concern because they are so worried about terrorism but at the same time who are these “pirates” and why would they not consider them a form of terrorist as well. If you do go on that cruise, be safe.
well i am pretty sure that any theive on water is called a pirate so this is the equivalent of you saying that you dont want to take planes anymore because they get hi- jacked by terrorists, or you dont want to go to banks anymore because of bank robbers. The world is a nasty place but chances are you will never encounter a situation such as this. so dont live in fear. have a fun life, because you could die on whatever else you decide to do besides the cruise! and i am positive the french navy is doing something.
Don’t want to scare you but, there is always yaughts and ships getting attacked by pirates. It is well known some of the areas where pirates are mostly in fact and what I will say is ask some person in the shipping industry where the areas of sea that are most at risk. Mostly it is close to land by the way as they mostly use inflatable boats.
The French Navy isn’t doing much because it’s made up of French citizens. The French are known for not doing anything since Napoleon lost power. Although, they can surrender better than anyone.
